The Northeast Florida Equestrian Society
supports competitive, recreational and therapeutic horse activities
in Northeast Florida and encourages the growth of the horse industry
and related enterprises.

The Northeast
Florida Equestrian Society works to:

Attract resources to support
development of the Jacksonville Equestrian
Center; |

Build community among the various
equestrian organziations in Northeast Florida; |

Advise the City of Jacksonville
on the interests and needs of the Northeast Florida equestrian community; |
| § |
Educate the public on the value
and importance of the Northeast Florida horse industry, and the personal
benefits that come from safe exposure to and interaction with horses.

Appreciates the diversity of
the equestrian community and respects all equestrian disciplines,
all horse breeds, and responsible riders at all levels of proficiency; |

Believes in safety first, for
both horse and rider; |

Opposes the mistreatment
of horses or irresponsible behavior by owners, trainers, riders
or others involved in the horse industry;

The Northeast Florida Equestrian
Society envisions:

The Jacksonville Equestrian
Center as a fully developed competition facility, with the capacity
and expertise to host national equestrian events in any discipline; |

The Jacksonville Equestrian
Center and Taye Brown Parklands as fully developed equestrian recreation
facilities, with trailheads and amenities to allow Northeast Florida
residents to enjoy recreational activities with their horses in a
safe environment; |
